Principles of Black & White Design

rozita: http://goo.gl/BjAoNR ASCII - GRAPHIC DESIGN - Technology + Art + Design is a collection of black-and-white graphics generated through use of ASCII - American Standard Code for Information Interchange. The entire book was generated online in real-time using simple text platforms with special characters and simple keyboard symbols, by which the combination of copy and repetitive action creates graphic patterns. I discovered the use of the GLITCH technique back in 2010 and was thus inspired to produce graphics utilizing repetitive action online at Facebook. This book is the result of that exploration. Moreover, as an eco-artist and eco-activist, I felt a great need to have a way of producing graphics that allowed me to save paper, ink, paint, monthly studio rent, and storage space for the artwork I created; thus, the daily need to create graphics without consuming expensive art supplies or adding to overall environmental pollution. This volume, ASCII - GRAPHIC DESIGN, presents and documents more than 350 pages of graphics created using keyboard, ASCII characters, and simple text. I hope that you will enjoy the book.
